Title: Merchandiser

Reports To: Distribution Manager
Purpose: This position is responsible for working with the Account Representatives and Delivery Drivers in merchandising L & E Bottling products in retail sales accounts in an efficient and safe manner that meets company and customer standards.
General Requirements:
This position requires a person to be physically able to perform the necessary functions and; has the ability to be trained in customer service, time management, the safe use of commercial equipment, and the merchandising of a wide variety of brands, packages, or other beverage industry products. This position also requires a person who is motivated, a self-starter and able to prioritize tasks under time management constraints.

Duties:
- Organize daily work assignments in conjunction with supervisor, account representative, and delivery driver with a focus on efficiency, customer service and completion of daily assignments within the scheduled shift.
- Work independently or within a team, (Account Reps and Delivery Drivers) in efficiently and professionally merchandising company products in assigned accounts within the shift time. Depending on case volume and merchandising needs, judge the execution of several variables like rotation, degree of shelf inventory stocking needs, etc., so as to effectively manage workday time within reasonable parameters. Use overtime as authorized by supervisor to ensure superior customer service.
- When assigned weekend merchandising duties, work independently on completing your duties professionally and efficiently.
- Accept any directions or assignments from your supervisor that are deemed necessary in the performance of their overall duties.
- Work with the Account Reps, Delivery Drivers, Customers and other L & E Bottling personnel to address problems or opportunities for efficiency, improved customer rapport, equipment placements, sales volume or any other pertinent factors.
- Adhere to company policies, work rules and safety procedures as they relate to attendance, appearance, vehicle and equipment usage, proper paperwork, proper and reasonable supervisory direction or any other facet of L & E Bottling’s business.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties with a minimum lifting requirement of 60lbs. on a continuous basis during a work shift.
- Ability to learn various aspects of the required duties including packages, brands, routes, merchandising, equipment and vehicle use, customer relations and service, safety, organization and time management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a commercial driver’s license, Class A . Must have Washington State Driver’s License.
- Ability to maintain a good attitude and take reasonable supervisory direction, ability to work well with others including L & E personnel and customers.
- Ability to work overtime, emergencies, or flexible day or hours as deemed necessary by the company.
- Ability and willingness to be flexible in performing any other necessary tasks outside the primary merchandising responsibility.
- Employment conditional upon the taking and passing of drug test previous to employment as well as drug and alcohol tests during employment according to company and government requirements.
- Must have minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be deemed “insurable” to drive a company vehicle by L & E Bottling’s insurance carrier.
